About Me
My name is Gökhan. I was born and raised in Afyonkarahisar, where I completed my primary and secondary education. I was enrolled in the Associate Degree Program in Accounting at Afyon Vocational School, Afyon Kocatepe University. The program was conducted in Turkish through formal, on-campus education. I discontinued my studies in 2007 before completing the program. During this period, I also completed additional training in computer software and marketing, and participated in European Union joint programs to support my professional development.
I began my career in the retail sector, focusing on sales and marketing, and later gained valuable experience as a store manager. Since 2013, I have been working as a Debt Collection Officer and Financial Consultant at the Tradesmen and Craftsmen Credit and Guarantee Cooperative in Afyonkarahisar. Throughout this time, I have specialized in accounting and tax regulations, continuously updating my knowledge to keep pace with current developments.
My professional skills include financial analysis and accounting, thorough knowledge of tax legislation, effective debt collection and client relationship management, as well as sales and marketing strategy development. I am proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel, and experienced in using various accounting software. Additionally, I possess strong problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, effective communication, teamwork skills, time management, and attention to detail, all of which enable me to work efficiently and maintain accuracy in my tasks.
Looking ahead, my career goal is to advance into managerial roles within the retail and financial sectors, such as Store Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager, or Regional Manager. I am committed to leveraging my experience and skills to contribute to organizational growth while continuing my professional development and leadership capabilities.
I have a broad range of interests including technology, art, cinema, and travel. Exploring new places and conducting research on them is a personal passion. Additionally, I am engaged in music and have an interest in acting. In my free time, I enjoy reviewing films as an amateur critic. I am also passionate about gastronomy, particularly whiskey tasting and connoisseurship, with plans to pursue related research and events in the future.
